What is From MSc to Market?

A method for turning a master’s degree into a real venture, in five stages: Learn, Apply, Prove, Launch and Scale. The stage names are working titles.

How do I turn my dissertation into a startup?

Start with a problem people outside the university also have. Build it on real data, show it to the people it is for, then form the company and find first customers. The From MSc to Market playbook takes you through each stage.

What is Classroom to Company?

A set of seven MSc projects that ended with assessment. Each shows what was built, the result, its real-world potential and what it would take to move towards a practical business use.

Did Anwar turn his MSc projects into companies?

No. All seven projects were completed for assessment and not taken to market. The case studies show what each could become with the right business challenge, partner and support.

What did Anwar’s dissertation find?

Retrieval raised correct answers from 16% to 94% and cut unsupported claims by 85 to 90%, over a synthetic test catalogue. Dense retrieval performed best. The dissertation was submitted in August 2026 and the result is pending.

What is TownsConnect™?

TownsConnect™ is a platform we are building to connect businesses, professionals, students, graduates, universities and local communities. It launched in September 2026.
